New York City is host to scores of  events, major and minor.  Summer time brings plenty of outdoor concerts and events. We have listed here several very good sites for your viewing.

 

Annual Major Events include;

March (17th)-St. Patrick's Day-the best and largest parade anywhere.

June (early) -National Puerto Rican Day Parade- a fun day for all.

July (4th) -Independence Day-fireworks from Macy's like you have never seen before.

September (11th thru 21st) -Feast of San Gennaro-the City's oldest & biggest religious St. Festival.

October (31st) -New York's Village Halloween Parade-wildly creative night.

November (2nd) -The ING New York City Marathon-New York's premier runners event.

November ( 3rd-4th week) -Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting-a wonderful evening.

November (27th) - Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade-everyone looks forward to this one.

December (31st) -New Year's Eve in New York City-the whole world watches.

 

 

A picture of the NYC Waterfalls under the Brooklyn Bridge.

June 26, 2008 to October 13, 2008-A not to be missed event. Presented by The Public Art Fund in collaboration with The City of New York. Designed by Olafur Eliasson. There are a total of four waterfall sites. The most prominent being this one under the Brooklyn Bridge. Best viewed from the east side of Manhattan, at or near the South Street Seaport.
