New York City can be rightfully called the entertainment capital of the world. You will find every form of entertainment, day in, day out, here. Enjoy a Broadway hit or take in an avant-garde off-off-Broadway production.  Dance, ballet, music, opera, jazz, hard rock, soft rock, country & western, comedy, classical, night clubs, movies and the list goes on.  We will attempt to familiarize you with a good sampling of New York's entertainment, night life and events.

Winter in New York City offers some great discounted activities.  Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway have great seats available at discounted prices.  For ticket availability for live New York City Events, check out; Live Event Tickets in New York .  Always a favorite is restaurant week, this year from January 25 to February 7, 2010.  Check out our restaurant page to see if your New York City Restaurant is participating. The Grateful Dead exhibit -"The Grateful Dead: Now Playing at the New-York Historical Society" - March 5 to July 4, 2010. "Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum" - February 12 to April 28, 2010 at the Guggenheim. The Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) starts on February 14, 2010 and there is no better place to be than Chinatown, New York City.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this year is January 18, 2010, the New York City Parade will begin at Fifth Avenue and 61st Street. New York City Fashion week is set to start February 12, 2010. New York City does sleep-but not very much.  Why?  Because in New York when the sun goes down, the lights come on. From every type of club imaginable, piano bars, late night jazz joints, pubs, sports bars, cocktail lounges, nightclubs, cabarets and more. It's all right here in New York City!
