New York City is host to scores of  events, major and minor.  Winter time brings plenty of indoor concerts and events. We have listed here several very good sites for your viewing. Winter is here in New York City and soon we will be bring you spring and summer.

 

 

 

Annual Major Events include;

January/February-Chinese New Year- first full moon between 1/21 and 2/19.

March (17th)-St. Patrick's Day-the best and largest parade anywhere.

June (early) -National Puerto Rican Day Parade- a fun day for all.

July (4th) -Independence Day-fireworks from Macy's like you have never seen before.

September (10th thru 20th) -Feast of San Gennaro-the City's oldest & biggest religious St. Festival.

October (31st) -New York's Village Halloween Parade-wildly creative night.

November (2nd) -The ING New York City Marathon-New York's premier runners event.

December ( 1st week) -Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting-a wonderful evening.

November (4th week) - Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade-everyone looks forward to this one.

December (31st) -New Year's Eve in New York City-the whole world watches.

 

Also a good time to visit Macy's-Herald Square Store-something is always going on.   Fashion week in New York City is set for February 11 -18, 2010. Always a great happening. Restaurant week is January 25-February 7, 2010. Check out your favorite restaurant on our New York City Restaurant page to see if they are participating. January 18, 2010 is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In New York City there will be a parade in his honor, starts at 5th Ave, Avenue and 61st Street. Asian Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) starts on February 14, 2010. The New York City Chinatown Parade and Festival is on February 21, 2010.  A must go to when you are in New York City. Now through July 3, 2010-Culture & Continuity: The Jewish Journey, check it out on our New York City Museum page.  The New York Boat Show is in town from January 20 -24, 2010. Yes, it's true, New York does have it's own ground hog. Ground Hog Day in New York City takes place at 7:30am at the Staten Island Zoo on February 2, 2010 when Staten Island Chuck makes his appearance. February is also National Black History Month, what better City to celebrate this month in.
